German Chocolate Cake

Decadent and an excellent substitute for "the real thing" - in fact, I like it even better!

Mix together 1 cup coconut and 1 cup chopped pecans and sprinkle on
bottom of greased 9x13 pan

Mix german chocolate cake mix according to directions and pour on top
of coconut mixture

Combine 1 stick of butter and 8 oz of cream cheese (cubed) and melt on
stove. Add 1# powdered sugar and mix WELL. Pour over top of cake mixture

Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean and
cake pulls away from the side of the pan. Cake will be a little
jiggly until it cools. It is the filling in the middle. The filling
may show up on your toothpick, but that is alright, you only have to
make sure the cake part is done.
